About Department

The Department of Maternal and Pediatric Nursing is one of the core academic departments within the College of Nursing. It specializes in preparing female students both scientifically and practically to provide comprehensive and integrated healthcare for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as for children from birth through adolescence.

The department aims to prepare highly qualified nursing professionals capable of dealing with various health conditions related to mothers and children. This is achieved through advanced educational and training programs that emphasize practical experience and keep pace with developments in healthcare.

The department also strives to support scientific research, contribute to community awareness, and promote preventive care and primary healthcare—aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to improve the quality of healthcare services and empower women in the health sector.

The department is staffed by a distinguished group of academically and professionally qualified faculty members and provides an interactive learning environment that includes simulation labs and clinical experiences in hospitals and health centers.
