Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

 

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is one of the essential academic programs designed to prepare scientifically and practically qualified nursing professionals capable of providing comprehensive and safe healthcare based on scientific and humanitarian principles. The program is offered within an integrated academic and professional framework that adheres to both national and international standards in nursing education and relies on the latest teaching and clinical training methodologies.

The program focuses on equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to practice the nursing profession competently across various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, health centers, and the community, in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.

The program spans four academic years, followed by a mandatory one-year internship (clinical training year), during which the student practices nursing care under direct professional supervision in hospitals and healthcare institutions. The curriculum includes a range of specialized courses such as Adult Nursing, Maternal Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, in addition to foundational science courses and research skills development.

Program Requirements

  1. Applicant must be a Saudi national or born by a Saudi national mother provided that the following proof such as the national ID of the mother, birth certificate of the applicant, and family card is presented and submitted to email: regatiu.edu.sa.
  2. Applicant must have a high school diploma or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  3. Passed all tests and personal interviews required by the King Khalid University and the College of Nursing - Abha.
  4. Applicant must not have been dismissed from King Khalid University or any other university for any academic or disciplinary reasons.
  5. Priority admission is given to those applicants who graduated from high school in the same year of application and admission
  6. Applicant must be medically fit.
  7. Applicant must have a high school cumulative average of 30%.
  8. Applicant must have 30% in the General Aptitude Test.
  9. Applicant must have 40% in the Achievement Test.
