The idea of establishing the College of Nursing stems from the urgent need to prepare highly competent nursing professionals—both scientifically and practically—who can keep pace with scientific and technological advancements. This aligns with the growing demand for providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative nursing services that promote and maintain an appropriate level of health for individuals, families, and the community through the use of advanced methods.
The College of Nursing at the University Center for Female Students aims to produce outstanding graduates who meet the demands of the labor market and contribute to supporting the healthcare sector. This effort is in line with the comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general, and the Asir region in particular. The College is committed to fostering an optimal learning environment, enhancing curricula and scientific research, and developing faculty capabilities to produce graduates well-prepared to meet the cognitive and practical demands of their professional lives, thereby empowering the Saudi nurse.
The ambition for excellence and innovation is driven by the continuous support of the Kingdom’s leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. It also reflects the great care and attention given to Saudi women, especially in higher education, to enable them to play their role in serving society at large and contributing to the development of the region. This vision is particularly evident in the Asir region under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, who is dedicated to the advancement of female students at King Khalid University, with continued support and supervision from His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh Al-Solami.
