Awareness Workshop titled: Safe Use of Medications and Antibiotics
In collaboration with the Center for Student Care and Counseling, represented by the Social Guidance Unit, the College of Nursing in Abha organized an awareness course titled "Safe Use of Medications and Antibiotics" at the College of Engineering auditorium.
The program was initiated by Dr. Mona Abdel Maqsoud, who delivered an introductory presentation on medications and antibiotics, highlighting their effects on human health. She emphasized the importance of the course in raising awareness among female students and faculty members about the dangers of improper or random use of medications.
Following her, Dr. Dawlat Ahmed gave a lecture in which she discussed types of medications that can be taken without a prescription and their potential risks to both individual and public health. She also provided a set of educational guidelines aimed at preventing the misuse of medications and antibiotics.
The program also featured an open interactive discussion between the attendees and the speakers, during which questions and inquiries were addressed. This added a rich and engaging dynamic to the event.
At the conclusion of the course, Dr. Mona Abdel Maqsoud expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Social Guidance Unit for hosting and supporting the event. She praised the importance of such programs in promoting health awareness among students and college staff.
