About the Unit
The Student Counseling Unit is one of the fundamental pillars supporting the educational journey of female students. It contributes to creating a positive academic and social environment that fosters students’ well-being and helps them build effective relationships with their peers, faculty members, and college staff.
The unit plays a key role in orienting new students to university life by implementing guidance and orientation programs at the beginning of each academic year. These programs introduce students to the college, its departments, deanships, and available services, and help them understand the academic and social changes they may encounter during their university journey and how to adapt to them.
The unit focuses on academic support by raising awareness of potential challenges to academic achievement and offering guidance on study skills, time management, and academic planning. These efforts aim to enhance academic excellence and personal adjustment. It also encourages high-achieving students to further develop their abilities and invest in their potential in ways that align with their academic interests and aspirations.
At the same time, the unit provides necessary support to academically struggling students by helping them overcome obstacles and acquire the skills needed to improve their performance. Special attention is also given to students with special needs, with efforts made to create a supportive environment that promotes their psychological, social, and academic adaptation according to their abilities.
Finally, the unit works to raise awareness among students about academic regulations, thereby enhancing their understanding of their rights and responsibilities within the university environment. This contributes to strengthening their academic commitment and fostering a sense of responsibility.
