From the heart of the south, specifically from the city of Abha, a journey of ambition that knows no limits began. Dr. Sahar Rafdan Al-Shahrani, a proud graduate of the College of Nursing in Abha, was not just a student earning a degree—she was a soul filled with passion and a vision that surpassed boundaries.

In 2012, she took her first step toward a greater dream when she was awarded a scholarship to the United States of America to pursue her graduate studies and obtain a Master’s degree. The journey was far from easy; she faced numerous personal and academic challenges. Yet, with steadfast determination and unwavering faith in God and in herself, she overcame every obstacle and achieved the success she had always dreamed of.

But her ambition didn’t stop there. Upon completing her Master's degree, she set her sights on an even greater goal and a deeper mission. She was granted another scholarship—this time to the prestigious University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, to pursue a Ph.D. There, she continued her academic journey with resilience, proving that success is not given—it is earned through hard work and faith.

Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Sahar held several key positions:

• Head of the Community Health Nursing Department at the College of Nursing in Abha – 2018

• Vice Dean of the College of Nursing in Abha – 2018

• Head of the Nursing Administration and Education Department – 2024

Today, this remarkable journey is crowned by her appointment as Dean of the College of Nursing in Abha—becoming a role model and a source of inspiration for every student with a dream and the will to pursue it.
