Orientation Program for Newly Joined Faculty Member
Under the patronage of Dr. Sahar Rafdan Al-Shahrani, Dean of the College, the Professional Development Committee at the College of Nursing, King Khalid University - Abha, conducted the Orientation Program for newly joined faculty members from 1/12/2026 - 14/12/2026 at 12:00 N – 1.00 pm in the E-Learning Lab. The program aims to familiarize new faculty with the the university, the college of nursing, BSN program, teaching and learning process, learning resources, research activities, community engagement services, professional development opportunities, facilities, and life at King Khalid University College of Nursing – Abha.
Objectives
At the end of the new faculty and staff members’ orientation program, they will be able to:
- Identify their roles in achieving the vision and mission of KKU and CON-Abha.
- Develop professional goals and objectives related to their role within KKU-CON-Abha.
- Recognize the existing policies, procedures, and guidelines of the academic institution.
- Familiarize the academic setting and working environment within KKU and CON-Abha.
- Adopt with the teaching and learning process and other practices at the CON-Abha.
- Identify opportunities for engagement in the departments’ responsibilities.
- Recognize their roles and responsibilities within their departments.
- Familiarize with the available learning resources at the CON-Abha.
- Familiarize the college facilities and clinical training site of the CON-Abha.
