The National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) is a Saudi government institution established in 2004 to be an administratively and financially independent body, responsible for quality assurance and academic accreditation in post-secondary education. It later became part of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC).

Tasks: The Commission is responsible for accrediting higher education institutions and their programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, regulating academic accreditation requests from international bodies, monitoring the quality of accredited institutions and programs, and conducting evaluative studies of institutions and programs.

Objectives: To promote quality and excellence in higher education, activate quality systems, develop and improve the educational process, provide an academic system and a stimulating educational environment for students, and empower the teaching staff.

Vision: Achieving excellence in evaluation and academic accreditation processes, and supporting and developing a distinguished educational environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mission: To motivate, support, and evaluate quality in higher education institutions and the programs they offer, including the quality of educational outcomes, managing and supporting services provided within the institutions, and contributing to scientific research and the communities in which the higher education institutions are located.
