Academic Department Overview:

The Department of Adult Nursing and Advanced Nursing Care is one of the five departments contributing to the Bachelor’s Nursing Program at the College of Nursing, King Khalid University. Aligned with the mission and vision of both the College of Nursing and King Khalid University, the department’s vision is based on the belief that nursing is an art, science, and discipline in caring for individuals by promoting and restoring health and maintaining its integrity throughout various stages of life. The department is committed to providing a conducive learning environment and offering courses that help students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary for caring for health conditions in adults with both acute and chronic illnesses within the scope of Adult Health Nursing and Critical Care Nursing.

The Department of Adult Nursing and Advanced Nursing Care is one of the primary academic departments at the College of Nursing, bearing a significant teaching responsibility by offering courses across most nursing specialties. The department consists of five teaching units that offer various specialties, helping students gain scientific knowledge and clinical skills to work with patients and their families safely and proficiently.
