The Department of Fundamentals of Nursing is one of the Five departments contributing to the Bachelor’s Nursing Program at the College of Nursing, King Khalid University. Aligned with the mission and vision of the College of Nursing and King Khalid University, the department’s vision is based on the understanding that nursing is an art, science, and discipline in caring for people through promoting and restoring health and wellness across all stages of life. The department is committed to providing a conducive learning environment and offering courses that help students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary for providing fundamental nursing care.
The Department of Basic Nursing Care is one of the major academic departments at the College of Nursing, and it carries a significant teaching responsibility by offering courses in most nursing specialties. The department consists of four units that teach various specialties, helping students gain scientific knowledge and different skills to work with patients and their families safely and proficiently.
