Dear Students,

We are pleased to welcome you to the college's website, and we hope you find what brings you joy as we continually strive to provide everything we can to keep you informed about new developments and share our services with you.

The College of Nursing, through all its departments, works to achieve its mission and core tasks, which include creating and providing a suitable environment to ensure the preparation of a workforce capable of innovation and developing new ideas that inspire a vision for the future, achieving leadership and creativity.

This college is distinguished by its ongoing activities and its ability to keep up with excellence and development, relying on its experiences and capabilities, which it takes pride in. It also contributes to promoting development and building essential foundations to develop innovative ideas through research and its locally and internationally accredited programs, as well as its advisory offices that serve the labor market and align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

The College of Nursing will continue to work according to its strategic plans to achieve excellence and remain a dynamic catalyst for innovation and creativity.

In line with King Khalid University's rapid expansion of the number of colleges, focusing on applied scientific colleges to graduate qualified and trained personnel to meet the needs of the labor market in the Kingdom, and based on the decision of the university council, the College of Nursing was established and began operating at the start of the academic year 1428/1429 AH (2007/2008 CE) with an intake of 9 female students. In the academic year 1432 AH, the first batch of students graduated, with 9 graduates. The college offers a single nursing program, and the graduates of the College of Nursing are trained as general nursing practitioners. The degree awarded upon completion of the program is a Bachelor's in Nursing Science. Due to the increasing number of female students enrolling in the College of Nursing, admissions to the Nursing Bachelor's program have been opened every semester since the academic year 1432/1433 AH and continues to this day.

The college, through its vision, mission, and goals, aims to achieve leadership and excellence at the local, regional, and international levels in healthcare, community service, and research. The college also strives, in its mission, to prepare outstanding professionals with creativity and dedication in their fields of specialization, contributing to community service and building distinguished community partnerships, taking into account the quality system and accreditation standards to attain academic accreditation.

In conclusion...

May Allah grant us all success in what benefits the country and its people.

Dean of the College of Nursing,

Dr. Sahar Al-Shahrani
